The ingredients needed to make Cinnamon Rolls:
  1. Get Warm Milk
  2. Make ready Dry Yeast
  3. Take & 3/4 cups Bread Flour *plus extra for kneading

  5. Make ready Cardamom Seeds *removed from pods, ground
  6. Make ready Salt
  7. Make ready Egg *lightly whisked, save 1 tablespoonful for glazing
  8. Get Butter *melted
  9. Make ready <Cinnamon Filling>
  10. Make ready Butter *melted
  11. Take Ground Cinnamon
  12. Get Brown Sugar
  13. Make ready <Icing>
  14. Take Icing Sugar
  15. Prepare Milk

This recipe works best if the butter for the dough is very soft. Take the butter out of the fridge a few hours before you want to make the dough to give it time to soften, or even the night before. These gooey cinnamon rolls are even better than Cinnabon cinnamon rolls, and are topped with a delicious cream cheese frosting! They're easy to make and can be prepared the day before and left to rise overnight in the refrigerator.

Instructions to make Cinnamon Rolls:
  1. Place Warm Milk and Dry Yeast in a bowl, mix gently and set aside.
  2. Combine Bread Flour, Sugar and Salt in a large bowl. Make a well in the centre and pour in the yeast mixture, Egg and Butter. Mix well to form a soft dough.
  3. Knead for 2 to 3 minutes, gradually adding extra Flour as required, until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and set aside in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Place Brown Sugar, Cinnamon and melted Butter in a small bowl and mix well. Line the base of a square cake tin or a baking tray with baking paper.
  5. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to 3-4mm thin. Spread Brown Sugar & Cinnamon mixture, then roll up.
  6. Cut into 9 slices or 16 slices, and place in a cake tin or on a baking tray. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Preheat oven to 180℃.
  7. Gently brush with remaining Egg, then bake for about 15 to 20 minutes or until nicely browned. *Note: Today I placed 16 rolls in 20cm square tin and it was a bit too crowded.
  8. To make icing, mix Icing Sugar and Milk in a small bowl. Drizzle it over the Cinnamon Rolls, but it is optional.

The frosting will settle in and become one with the cinnamon rolls. And you'll be another step closer to being the most popular person in town…or the jiggliest, depending on whether you choose to deliver the rolls to friends or lock yourself in your pantry and eat them all by yourself. These cinnamon rolls can easily be made ahead. For best results, choose one of the following two methods. OVERNIGHT INSTRUCTIONS: After you've rolled and cut your cinnamon rolls and placed them into your lightly greased baking pan, cover with plastic wrap and place in your refrigerator.
