Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, curry leaves and allow it to crackle. Oats Tikki or oats cutlet is easy and healthy snack made with oats, potato and spices. This is healthy snack for kids, adults and specially for Iftar now during Ramazan too as it's very filling. I make oats mostly for breakfast or as quick lunch for myself, this cutlet I made few times before with slight different variations but this is one recipe that I like the most and I make this specially.
Instructions to make Oats and Beetroot tikki:
- In a mixing bowl add grinded oats.. Than add grated beetroot… And add all above ingredients with water and form a dough.. And let dough rest for 15minutes
- Now take a small portion from dough and make a tikki shape than coat it with seesame seeds
- Now make all rest of tikki and keep it in refrigerator for 20 minutes… Now in a pan brush up with oil and shallow fry tikki on medium slow flame and serve it with chutney and enjoy😊
Beetroot Chickpea Kebab/Cutlet are a very healthy, delicious pan fried patties that are prepared with cooked chickpeas and beetroots that are ground together with Indian spices. This mixture is mixed with crushed peanuts and shaped into tikkis and pan fried to a crisp tikki.
